Musaamo is a private music school in Leppävaara, Espoo. At Musaamo, you can enjoy playing and singing – regardless of age, skills or goals, and studying is based on what interests you. You can forget about the high demands and pressures of traditional music schools. If you want to make music just for your own pleasure, that’s great for us! If, on the other hand, you want to take your music hobby to a pro level, that is also possible. In Musaamo, you decide your own goals and at what pace you want to reach them.
We can tailor a class package that suits you with the content you want: training for a certain song, studio work, preparation for entrance exams, performance coaching… you name it :)
Music hobby develops, e.g. coordination, visualization and teaches persistence. Group classes strengthen social skills and you can also make new friends from the classes!
With us, one-on-one lessons can also include group playing: and what’s best, these lessons are included in the semsester fees. Or maybe you are interested in songwriting or electronic music production? – You can also study these at Musaamo.

One-on-one lessons
One-on-one teaching is, as the name suggests, our most individual form of teaching. In one-on-one tutoring, the student gets the teacher’s undivided attention and the content of the lessons can be planned taking into account the student’s own wishes, strengths and challenges. In individual tutoring, the student’s development is usually the fastest.
The focus of the lessons can be, for example, preparing for an entrance exam, writing your own songs or completing a degree.
In one-on-one teaching, the relationship between the student and the teacher is often close and meaningful. Music offers a safe channel for e.g. to the expression of feelings, and especially as a child the relationship with the teacher becomes important.
Lesoons are usually 30 – 60 minutes at a , once a week. Class times are agreed based on registrations.
Small groups
Small groups are ensembles of players and singers of the same age and level. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced hobbyist, training with people of the same level will deepen your hobby and inspire you in the form of new training methods and songs.
Small group teaching is especially suitable for beginners. In couple lessons and in small groups of 3 – 4 students, players and singers support each other without realizing it, and playing music together increases self-confidence and team spirit.
In addition, the student also learns by following others of the same age to understand, for example, the playing position more easily than just from the example of an adult teacher. In singing, singing together helps e.g. in practicing a more precise tune, and both players and singers gain precision in controlling rhythm and tempo.
Teaching is usually 30 – 60 minutes, once a week. Groups are formed and their class times are agreed based on registrations. When forming groups, we especially take into account the age of the students and any previous playing/singing experience.
Band School
The band school is suitable for students (approx. 11 years and up) on who already have some control over their own instrument. You can also bring your complete band to Musaamo under the guidance of a teacher. The bands also get to show their skills in front of the public at concerts organized by Musaamo.
The band’s basic instruments are electric guitar, electric bass, keyboards, drums and vocals. If necessary, other instruments can also be included in the composition! The groups for band teaching are put together based on instruments, age, playing experience, music style wishes and friend wishes. There is no upper age limit for playing in a band, there are separate groups for adult players.
Lessons are once a week for 45 – 60 minutes at a time. Bands are formed and their class times are agreed based on registrations.

Band Club
The band club is intended for children between ages 7 and 10. It gives easy access to the music hobby. In the band club, you get to know all the instruments, so it is perfect for those who have not yet found their number one instrument.
The band’s basic instruments are electric guitar, electric bass, keyboards, drums and vocals. If necessary, other instruments can also be included in the composition! There is one 45 minute lesson per week. Bands are formed and their class times are agreed based on registrations.
You can join the band club, whether you are just starting your music hobby or have already had time to study an instrument before. Lessons have a way of doing things: we call and we don’t mean!!
